Where are you now? Where do you want to be? How do you get there? These three questions are not just for strategic management in the business world.
Find Tranquility when you find clarity of vision and purpose in your life.
They apply to all actions and begin with feelings and thoughts.
How do you feel now? Would you like to improve the way you feel when you wake up, during the day or when it’s time to lay down your head before you do it all again tomorrow?
Tune into your desires and decide when you want to experience success in these areas. What you do after that is the easiest part of all.
Decide
The first step is to tune in to your heart using the “head bypass technique”…
Tell your inner voice (your head) to take some time out while you flex your heart muscle for 5 minutes. Find a place you can be alone without distractions. Sit down or lay down (be careful not to fall asleep!) and close your eyes. Ask yourself, “Am I truly happy with my life and my current situation? Have I made the right choices? Can I honestly say that I couldn’t possibly have a more happy, richer and fulfilling life?
Chances are that if you are still reading you have doubts. That’s great because life is a journey of self discovery and the nature of man and woman is to strive for constant improvement in our quest for survival. Even a small improvement in one part of our life can have an enormous influence on the rest of our life and those who we share our existence with. Now, answer this question – “Do I want to make my life even better than it already is? If you answer “Yes” you have just DECIDED to make a change.
Desire
Imagination time. Pretend that from the time you wake up tomorrow morning you will be continuing your journey of life on a different path. A path that leads away from your current state and towards your desires.
Before you go to bed tonight, get a pen and paper and write down in no more than 1-2 sentences the perfect world as you DESIRE it to be, in relation to your: Love life; work/career/business enterprise; health; physical condition, fitness & presentation; knowledge/skills; opportunities for success; recognition/power/social life; family/life; wealth; spirituality/religion; and anything else you feel and believe is crucial to your happy existence upon this planet.
Devise your journey
As Yoda [Jedi Master] once said, “There is no try. There is only do or do not. That is why you fail.”
Keep this piece of paper with your special things – if you don’t have a special things place, make one! Read this piece of paper often and ask yourself “What do I need to do to get where I am going?” There are many tools and techniques to help you DEVISE YOUR JOURNEY.
I recommend the PATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE. Simply stated, don’t make the same mistakes that other people have made and more importantly don’t reinvent the wheel.
This page provides you with links to some very helpful tools and techniques that anybody can use, including children. But most of all it’s FUN because you are PLANNING THE JOURNEY OF YOUR LIFE.
Decide – desire – devise your journey and along the way you will realize that you are DOING IT!
